Apex Legends Season 25 is coming soon and a new legend named Sparrow an expert archer will join the game. This is the first new legend since May last year.
It’s been nearly a year since Respawn added a new legend to Apex Legends. Alter joined at the start of season 21 on May 7 last year. Soon Sparrow will be the 27th legend. Although details on his abilities are scarce there are a few hints scattered around.
Sparrow's new kit seems to focus on the Bocek Compound Bow from Apex Legends. He is shown using it in his cinematic reveal trailer and the Season 25 landing page hints that new Bocek updates are coming. It’s still unclear if Sparrow will start with one in a match or if the Bocek will be available as ground loot.
In the trailer you can see Sparrow with a quiver full of electrified arrows. These cinematics may not be exact as they could be stylized but Sparrow is shown stabbing an enemy up close with one. Another shot shows him attaching a frag grenade to an arrow suggesting you might be able to shoot throwables farther and more accurately at distant enemies. I think this could be his ultimate ability. There's also a shot of an electric arrow hitting a group of enemy legends shocking them all in the area.
Sparrow uses a small jet pack for boosted jumps in a few quick moments making him a very mobile and agile legend.
We will need to wait for an official gameplay trailer to see his abilities but it’s great to see a new character in the game. The trailer also shows that Sparrow has a cute black cat so he gets an extra point from me.
Sparrow is expected to arrive at the start of Apex Legends Season 25 which is likely to go live on Tuesday May 6 based on the current battle pass timer.
