I’m always happy and I always enjoy going back to Dark Souls 2. It’s different from the other FromSoftware games but its strange design choices keep me coming back. Things like life gems confusing level layouts and the adaptability stat make it unique. If you have never played it or want to return to Drangleic now is a great time. A top modder in the Souls-like community is working on it and will change the game for good.

If you haven’t heard of Yui you probably know their work. Their Seamless Co-op mod is the most popular one for Elden Ring and they have also made it for Dark Souls 1 and 3. This mod makes playing the Souls games with friends much more fun and now Yui is working on it for Dark Souls 2.

Dark Souls 2 Seamless Co-op will bring Yui's amazing mod to one of FromSoftware's most divisive games and I'm So excited. Yui goal with this mod is to make online play easier. Multiplayer sessions stay active even after players die fight bosses teleport or do other actions without kicking out the online players like usual. There are no fogwalls stopping progress either and everything can be synced for all players making it simpler to join and leave the game.

Yui's other mods let you change the difficulty and Dark Souls 2 will be the same. You can make enemies stronger add friendly fire or have PvP invasions all the time if you want.

You can play Yui’s other Seamless Co-op mods now. but Dark Souls 2 will take a bit longer. Yui says the mod is still in early development and will post updates as progress is made. They are working on this while also maintaining their other mods.

With the Elden Ring Nightreign release coming soon playing Dark Souls with friends is a great way to get ready. Seamless Co-op makes it easier than ever so you don’t have to keep putting down summon signs or rejoining after each death. It is now the only way I play FromSoftware games with friends and with nine million downloads of the Elden Ring version many others feel the same.
