If You Love Indie Music Life Is Strange Gets You

When the first episode of Life is Strange was released, I am 16 years old. I was cool, I was angry, and I was a creative force.

It was a series that drew me in immediately, with great trepidation, and I awaited each new episode as they were slowly released. However, I wasn't just excited for the game itself I also wanted to know what songs were on the soundtrack.

Life has changed In fact, it's so awful it's hard not to use that title

Fast forward Just Few month then I am seventeen year old in a college student and then work on some coursework in game development. Of course, I focused more on my work and wanted to create an RPG that had multiple endings, a leveling system, and different paths. So I title it The Butterfly Effects base on the theme Max Caulfield is owned adventure.

and little less subtle So that I am using songs from soundtrack for my levels Obstacles by Syd Matters and or Piano Fire by Sparklehorse or Good by Alt-J, to name a few. Would they fit in a little pixel RPG? No, absolutely not, but I didn’t care.

Music has been a Rmainstay of this series

Life is Strange 2 continued the trend of some great music that was crafted specifically for me. These songs are a almost had differents direction than a original OST and there is a no doubts Life is Strange remained is same. I still listen to Lisztomania by Phoenix, Natalie by Milk and Bone, and my favorite song by Gorillaz, On Melancholy Hill.

As I got older, games became an important part of my music taste, giving me an easy way to discover new artists and songs, as well as form a fond connection to them. This was true not only for the first game, but I was up late playing the sequel through Life Is Strange 2 during lockdown in 2020. Some positive connection was what I needed, as most people did.

Life Is Strange: True Colours and Double Exposure didn’t have as much of an impact on me musically maybe it was the change in episodic structure, or maybe it was the change in studio developing the games. Don’t Nod doesn’t know me in a way Deck Nine doesn’t, what can I say?

I take pride in remembering my favourite songs and artists, and when asked where I first heard them, the answer will be Life Is Strange ten years ago and the album that followed, which had a lot to offer. So These are video games that wants to also staying with you or music is a Best part of that something that Do not Nod understood perfectly.
