Amazon Games has announced Season 8 of New World Aeternum which will include risky but rewarding worlds and a new Outpost Rush map.
Season 7 was about PvP-focused worlds that kept players on edge. Season 8 called Season of the Divide focuses on survival high risks and fast progress. The new Hardcore Seasonal Worlds in New World will start you as an unfallen character and your goal is to stay alive as long as possible. The longer you survive the better rewards you get.
However Once you die you will lose your unfallen status and can not earn those rewards. You will still have other things to unlock and the game will get easier after death. so there is still a reason to keep playing. But it’s meant to be a real challenge for your skills and ability to survive.
One of the highlights of these Hardcore Seasonal Worlds is how fast you can progress. Leveling up and gearing up is quicker than ever in this limited-time world with a new simpler main questline to follow says Amazon. Artifact equip limits are removed letting players power up more than before.
Season 8 focuses a lot on PvP with events showing new modes and maps. There’s a 10v10 Capture the Flag mode with powerups and jump pads to change how PvP is played. A new 3v3 Arena map is being introduced. There is also a new Outpost Rush battleground where gear perks are turned off and everyone has the same max gear score for fairer gameplay.
In Season 8 Coral Divide is added as a new Outpost Rush map. It is a colorful ocean-themed area that focuses on height tactical routes for flanking and intense battles at the center fort.
There is a new Barbershop feature for customizing characters seven new Artifacts a new season pass and more. New World Aeternum Season 8 will release on Tuesday May 18. The Hardcore worlds will launch in early June as per Amazon.
