Ubisoft has fully revealed The Division 2 Battle for Brooklyn DLC. It's a short but packed update and it's coming out very soon.
Fans of The Division 2 have been waiting a long time for the new Battle for Brooklyn DLC. Even though there have been updates and live events to enjoy. it is been over five years since the last big story expansion. That’s why the delays have been extra frustrating. But now the wait is almost over the release date for Battle for Brooklyn is finally set.
Battle for Brooklyn has been delayed a few times. Most recently it was removed from Ubisoft's Year 6 plans for The Division 2 and moved to Year 7. This co-op games new expansion which takes players through familiar and new streets of New York with an autumn vibe has been eagerly awaited. Now we know a lot more about it. At first the clear blue skies falling brown leaves and calm residents might make Battle for Brooklyn seem quiet but it is far from that.
The people at the Bridge settlement have rebuilt well after the hurricane that hit New York in the last expansion. However they still need protection and that's where you along with characters like Theo Parnell Agent Hoskins and Dr. Jessica Kandel come in.
In the Battle of Brooklyn your main enemies are the Cleaners. They have created a powerful weapon that some players will recognize from the Paradise Lost Incursion mission. Now with the power of the Purple Flame they can unleash powerful fiery attacks that cause a new effect called corrosion. This slowly reduces your maximum armor over time meaning the longer you fight the less armor you will have to restore.
The Smart Cover from The Division 1 is back but with a new twist. You can choose between two options: Precision or Fortified. Precision boosts weapon handling damage and auto reloads your guns when you switch weapons. Fortified gives you extra armor resistances and makes you immune to being staggered.
During the reveal stream for Battle of Brooklyn creative director Yannick Banchereau mentioned that the new DLC will offer fans around six to ten hours of playtime. so it is not too long. There is still a lot to enjoy, including four new Control Points 12 overworld activities eight Hunter Riddles ten bounty locations and a new set of collectible bounties. We also now know when this delayed expansion will be released.
The Division 2 Battle for Brooklyn DLC will be released on Tuesday May 27. The showcase also revealed updates for Year 7 which will focus on making the game easier for new players improving the endgame and adding more seasonal content.
