Ubisoft Says Assassin’s Creed Shadows on PS5 Pro Matches High-End PCs

Discussing the game in a recent PlayStation Blog post Ubisoft claimed that Assassin's Creed Shadows on PS5 Pro is the ultimate console experience that is on par with ultra-high-end PCs.

Late last year, PlayStation finally revealed and later released its massive mid-generation upgrade for the PlayStation 5 the PS5 Pro. While the launch was a bit disappointing for most gamers who were expecting a clear upgrade rather than minor changes that did not stop it from being a very powerful console with some impressive features.

The big problem with the PlayStation 5 Pro was that it did not have any new games to show off its potential, with Sony relying on older first party titles to show off its potential. While it was great to see an accurate reflection of Spider-Man 2 in its performance mode everyone was waiting for the next big game that could handle its power.

A surprise contender is Assassin's Creed Shadows, which many people are calling the best reason to get a PS5 Pro right now. Despite constantly creating huge and detailed worlds, Ubisoft is not known for pushing the power of the console, so the Pro being the showstopper is a big surprise.

It is a wave of glory that Ubisoft is attempting to make the most of. As Push Square reports. a new PlayStation blog post was recently released detailing all the features of the PS5 Pro version of the game compared to the regular version. In that blog Ubisoft's director of technology Pierre Fortin calls Shadows on PS5 Pro the ultimate console experience.

That certainly sounds true, but Fortin goes a step further saying that all the improvements offered by the Pro mean the game rivals ultra high end PC gaming. Given how powerful PCs can be and how customizable the experience is that's a pretty big claim. This shows that Ubisoft really believes in the version of the game it’s showing.
