Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has a famous cast including Charlie Cox from Daredevil Andy Serkis from Lord of the Rings and Jennifer English who plays Shadowheart in Baldur's Gate 3. It also features Ben Starr one of the most popular video game actors right now. His character in the game wears an outfit inspired by the game that made him famous.
Even though Final Fantasy 16 and Clair Obscur are made by different studios, Sandfall Interactive still added a small tribute to Clive. They weren’t the first to spot the outfit or make the link. but BltzZ shared a picture of Verso wearing it on Twitter. They also explained exactly where to find it in the game.
Clive Makes an Appearance in Clair Obscur
If you want to dress like Clive in Clair go to Monoco Station. From there enter the Frozen Hearts dungeon. Inside you will find the Pelerin outfit which looks a lot like Clive’s red and black outfit from Final Fantasy 16.
Starr is best known for his connection to Clive from Final Fantasy. but fans also know he really loves Final Fantasy 8. Sandfall added a few small nods to that game in Clair Obscur. One character Verso, still likes trains just like Selphie from Final Fantasy 8. You can also see two gestrals playing a card game called Double Dyad which seems like a simpler version of Final Fantasy 8’s Triple Triad.
Clair Obscur is currently the top-rated game of 2025 and has become very popular in the gaming world. This gives Sandfall a better chance of winning Game of the Year especially since Rockstar just announced that GTA 6 won’t come out until next year.
