New FPS from Metro Exodus Co-Developer Launches on Steam Surprises Fans

La Quimera a new sci-fi FPS like Crysis and Cyberpunk 2077. made by the co-developer of Metro Exodus is now available on Steam in Early Access.

The future in video games is usually not very bright. Games like Cyberpunk 2077 Deus Ex, Titanfall 2 and Stellaris show dark, war-torn worlds. The new game La Quimera made by former Metro Exodus developers also looks bleak. But it's an interesting world to explore. You can try it out now as it just launched today on Steam.

La Quimera is set many years in the future in a huge city called Nuevo Caracas. This future version of Venezuela's capital is controlled by harsh companies and armed groups. Like the game Metro it combines gritty military action with supernatural elements making it different from other sci-fi games.

La Quimera is a first-person shooter (FPS) game with a cool story by Nicolas Winding Refn and E.J.A Warren. The game features characters wearing powerful robotic armor similar to the Crysis series. This armor can be upgraded with new abilities as you play. You can play the game alone or team up with up to three other players in co-op mode.

La Quimera was made by Reburn the same team that helped create Metro Exodus when they were called 4A Ukraine. This makes the game even more exciting. Now, anyone can try it out. The Early Access version released today includes the first four levels of the campaign and the rest of the game will be finished over the next 18 months.
