Right now Minecraft is doing great. The Minecraft Live event was really fun new updates have made long-range fighting and leashes better and the Minecraft movie is very popular. But like all games Minecraft has had some bugs. For example players might remember the dancing Enderdragon. Also the famous Creeper was actually made by accident from a bug that changed the pig’s look. Now Jens Bergensten from Mojang talks about one of Minecraft’s best bugs. Does anyone remember squid milk?

In 2025, Minecraft will be busy as always. Make sure you know the best Minecraft worlds (called seeds) and the best mods. After you start a new world look for a friendly squid in the water. You will see two things: the squid swims in the water and you cannot get milk from it like a cow. One of Minecraft's famous makers says it used to be different.

When I began working on Minecraft I didn’t really understand how everything worked says Bergensten who helped make Minecraft since 2010. I wanted to add a new animal so I made a squid. I copied a cow to make the squid but I forgot to take away the milking part.

For some time you could milk the squid which was silly and not how it was supposed to work. The squid was the first creature I made So it had some bugs. Because of how I coded its movement the game didn’t always know where the squid really was. This sometimes made the squid look like it was flying in the air which was a funny bug called the flying squid.

Squid milking (what a funny phrase) was taken out of Minecraft in 2011. Maybe it could come back someday. I don’t mean you should get milk from squids like cows but maybe black dye? Either way I think squids should stay in the water Not fly in the sky.
