Railgods of Hysterra: Lovecraftian Survival Game Out Now

The new survival game Railgods of Hysterra is now available in Steam Early Access. In it your home base is a huge monster train inspired by Lovecraft.

Unlike other survival games that focus on being realistic this one has a wild and unique style. The world is now ruled by the Great Old Ones strange powerful creatures that enjoy causing pain. They've turned everything dark and filled the land with scary slimy monsters. But there's still hope: the Railgods of Hysterra can protect you.

These living trains are like moving homes but they are a bit creepy. To keep them going you’ll need to make regular sacrifices. Still they are a good place to stay safe during the end of the world. Like other survival games you’ll need to go out find supplies make tools, fix weapons and improve your train. You can also play with up to four friends.

In the early-access version of Railgods, there’s a main quest that connects to building, crafting and fighting. Ranged combat is better now and new filters and tools make it easier to use the inventory menus.

Two big content updates (and more) are coming in the next few months. You'll see new areas, enemies, bosses, railgod carriages, system changes and even a fishing feature added later on.
