Gearbox Software made the second Risk of Rain 2 DLC after buying the game. It had a rough launch at first. But now after fixing things they're ready to release the third DLC called Alloyed Collective with help from Risk of Rain experts.

Risk of Rain 2 is a great roguelike game. But its second expansion Seekers of the Storm had a very rough launch and disappointed many fans hurting the games reputation. Thankfully a big new update just came out that fixed many issues and improved the DLC a lot. Now with things looking better the developers are announcing the game's third expansion and fans are hoping they don't repeat the same mistakes.

The new Alloyed Collective DLC will be about the same size as past expansions. Gearbox says they're finishing up some final details on Seekers of the Storm and they’ve also added some team members who know Risk of Rain well to help make the next DLC.

The new expansion will have six stages set in Solus territory with locations like cliffside junkyards, crowded machine fortresses and underground caves. You’ll face seven new kinds of Solus enemies and fight new bosses. including a final boss that changes the end of the game. Sounds intense.

You’ll get seven new types of drones and two new survivors. One survivor is brand new and the other is from the first Risk of Rain game. There will also be 15 new items added to the loot.

Gearbox says that DLC 3 will take more time to come out and that a few updates are still planned for Seekers of the Storm. They are happy with how DLC 2 turned out after all the patches. It's also good to see that the problems with the expansion haven't stopped them from continuing to support this great roguelike game.
