Crime Boss Rockay City Update Brings New Heist Fixes Big Complaint
Crime Boss Rockay City didn’t have the best start when it launched in 2023. Players complained about weak stealth bad enemy AI, and a boring progression system. It also adds a brand new heist more smart AI bots a helpful in-game heisting guide and lots of bug fixes and improvements.

The new heist takes place in an art gallery where your goal is to sneak past tight security and steal an ancient dragon statue. You can play this mission alone or with friends in co-op. If you need help there's now a how to heist guide that you can open from the pause menu. For new players the tutorial mission has also been changed it now takes place in a bank has easier difficulty and can be completed with other players. This gives you and your friends a better way to learn the game and enjoy the co-op experience together.

Some co-op changes have been made to improve the game. Now Gold Cup missions always start with two buzzsaws instead of giving you random tools which makes things more predictable. Also the quick join feature is being removed after watching how players use it. This change is likely because quickplay was putting players into empty lobbies and making them the host of random heists basically the opposite of what quickplay is supposed to do.

There are also several balance updates for co-op. You’ll now earn more XP in Warehouse Defense and the rewards for Bank, Jewelry Store and Compound missions have been slightly increased. However cash rewards for Assassination missions have been reduced. Some smaller missions had their money and XP payouts slightly adjusted too. And finally Armored Convoy missions now give more XP than regular Armored Truck Heists.

There are some other big changes in the update too besides the co-op improvements. Now new missions will only show up for players who are above level 15. Also the perk descriptions have been updated to make their effects easier to understand.

Along with these the update also brings many small tweaks and bug fixes. If you want to see everything that’s been changed you can check out the full list here.

So if you’ve been waiting to try it out now could be a great time to jump into the action and create some chaos in Rockay City.
