Dispatch has already been wishlisted over 500,000 times on Steam. With its beautiful visuals and movie-like style it could become one of the biggest strategy games of 2025.
At first a game where you work as a call centre dispatcher doesn’t sound very exciting. Taking calls, sending help and managing jobs might fit in a strategy or management game but it doesn’t seem that fun unless you’re working with superheroes. That’s exactly what happens in Dispatch an upcoming game where you control a team of heroes in spandex helping people during emergencies. Because of its creative idea, beautiful graphics and a popular demo during Steam Next Fest the game is now getting a lot of attention and is rising quickly on Steam wishlists.
I first saw Dispatch during last year’s Game Awards. I didn’t know much about it but it instantly caught my attention. I never expected it to be good enough to compete for a spot on lists of the best strategy or management games. You play as a superhero named Robert Robertson yes that’s his real name who used to fight crime in a powerful mech suit. But after his suit is destroyed he can’t fight anymore. Now, he helps from behind the scenes working at a dispatch centre and guiding a team of eight superheroes to respond to different emergency situations.
In this game you have to handle different emergencies and each one needs a certain set of skills. So you need to choose the right hero or team for the job. Every character is better at some things than others. There are five main skills: fighting, thinking, talking, moving and staying strong. You have to look at what the situation needs and then pick the best person for it.
But this game called Dispatch is more than just making smart choices. It also tells a really fun and interesting story. The trailers show cool cartoon-style scenes that follow a man named Robert while he works at a call centre. The characters look great the jokes are funny and the voices sound really good. The game focuses a lot on the story which makes sense because the team behind it used to work at Telltale Games the people who made popular story games like The Walking Dead.
During June’s Steam Next Fest players got their first chance to try out a new game called Dispatch. The demo became super popular with over 300,000 downloads and many people really liked it. Because of this the game got added to a huge number of wishlists. The developers AdHoc said that Dispatch has now been wishlisted more than 500,000 times. It’s even ranked 44th on Steam’s most-wishlisted games ahead of big titles like Crimson Desert, Silent Hill f and State of Decay 3.
If you’re thinking I missed the demo during Steam Next Fest don’t worry The good news is the demo is still available to download and play. You haven’t missed your chance. As for the full game Dispatch is expected to release sometime before the end of 2025.
