Dune Awakening Sietches Worlds and Exploration Explained
How do sietches work in Dune Awakening? We tried playing Dune Awakening with friends but it hasn’t been easy. Each sietch (server) only allows 40 players at a time so they're often full and locked. That means new players can’t join their friends. But we found a simple trick that lets you play with your friends even if you can’t make a character on their server.

Dune Awakening is one of the top survival games of 2025 and is very popular on Steam so the servers fill up quickly. When you start playing you'll see a list of worlds. Each world has over 20 sietches (small settlements). We’ll explain what sietches are why you can go to some of them and how to play with your friends even if they’re on different servers.

What Dune Awakening sietches?

In Dune Awakening sietches are the game’s servers. Each one can have up to 40 players at a time. This is your home server where you can claim land and build.

The word sietch comes from the Fremen language in Dune and means village. You’ll begin your adventure on this server and need to finish the first few story missions there.

Dune Awakening worlds Fully explained

In Dune Awakening each world has at least 20 servers and hundreds of players. You can make one character per world and use it to visit any location (sietch) in that world.

You can't move your character to another world yet. If you want to play on a different world you'll need to create a new character there. This is useful if you want to try different classes.

The Deep Desert is a big PvP area where lots of players can fight. Everyone from different sietches ends up in the same Deep Desert so it has more players than the sietches.

How to play with a friend on another server

If your friend's server is locked you can still play together. Just join the same world as them. For example if your friend is on the Hagal world at Sietch Eaqrab you can pick any open Sietch in Hagal like Sietch Abbir and make your character there.

After you make your character and finish the tutorial you can visit another base and join your friend’s team and guild. You can play most of the game together on their server.

The only thing you can’t do is claim land there. But your friends can let you help build and use their stuff so it’s not a big deal. Your progress and items work on all servers so you can enjoy building and playing together.

While doing your journey quests you need to place a Sub-Fief an advanced Sub-Fief and some walls. But you can't place a Sub-Fief on your friend's server so you have to do these quests on your own server. After that you can go back and play with your friends.

It’s not perfect but it’s a way to keep playing together in different Dune Awakening sietches.
