Dune Awakening Surges to 100K Players on Steam in Survival Game Breakout

Dune Awakening is a new survival online game based on the famous sci-fi series. After its early access release it’s becoming very popular on Steam.

It's no surprise that Dune Awakening is getting a lot of attention. The Dune sci-fi world which started with Frank Herbert’s books and became more popular after two hit movies has always been interesting. It has also worked well in video games before like the classic Dune 2 and Dune: Spice Wars. So making a big MMO game with survival elements like Valheim No Man’s Sky or DayZ was a smart move. And it seems to be working Dune Awakening hasn’t even officially launched yet but it already has a huge number of players on Steam through its Advanced Access.

Turning the Dune books and movies into a big online survival game was a smart choice. Dune Awakening is already doing well even though it's only available early to people who bought the Deluxe or Ultimate Edition. The game is very popular and is the most wishlisted survival game on Steam. Many players were excited enough to pay extra to start playing early.

Dune Awakening had 93,634 people playing on Steam today and 79,943 were still playing when this was written. The game hasn’t even fully launched yet so these numbers show it’s already doing really well.

Dune Awakening is now available to play in Advanced Access. The full game will launch on Tuesday, June 10. You can add it to your wishlist or learn more on Steam.
