Dying Light 2 x Balatro Collab Brings Terrifying New Horror Update
Balatro is quickly becoming one of the best indie games when it comes to crossovers. Big games like Fortnite and Call of Duty are known for teaming up with other franchises adding special skins and events. But Balatro a roguelike card game made by LocalThunk has also done some impressive crossovers. It has already featured themed card designs inspired by games like Cyberpunk 2077, Fallout and Assassin’s Creed.

But this time things are a little different. Instead of another game joining Balatro it’s now Balatro that is being added to another game’s world. The game Balatro is crossing over with is Dying Light 2 and the result is a little scary.

For us at Gamefusionusa this crossover feels like a perfect match. We always talk about how great Dying Light 2 is it’s one of the best zombie games out there. The first Dying Light was also a hit and we’re hoping the upcoming Dying Light The Beast will be just as good when it launches later this year.

On the other hand Balatro was our Game of the Year for 2024 because of how fun and addictive it is to play. So putting these two games together should be exciting. But honestly the idea of Balatro in a zombie world might be more terrifying than we expected it could give us nightmares instead of dreams.

A new update for Dying Light 2 is out today and it includes a free bundle called the Balatro bundle. This bundle gives players some fun new content. First you’ll get a crazy new skin that changes the main character, Aiden Caldwell, into Jimbo the mascot from the popular card game Balatro. It’s a weird and funny look but perfect for smashing zombies around the city of Villedor. You’ll also get a special paraglider skin that matches the theme so you can fly through the air in style.

But this update isn’t just about looks. There’s also a new weapon blueprint for something called the Ceremonial Dagger. This dagger gives you stronger damage and better stats. On top of that you can also craft a Joker Charm which gives you one of 12 random bonuses. These buffs will help you in combat or change how the game plays a bit making things more exciting.

To get everything in the Friends of Aiden bundle you’ll need to complete two new side missions added to the game. To start these missions just look for mysterious posters in two places the Bazaar and the Fish Eye. According to the developer Techland the missions will include tricky riddles that will test how well you know the city of Villedor.

The crossover between Dying Light 2 and Balatro is now live which means you can enjoy new content from both games in Techland’s zombie survival world.

Along with this a new event called UGC Fest has also started. It will run for four weeks and is all about celebrating content made by the game’s community. During this event you’ll get new bounties that lead you to special maps and fun activities. If you complete them you can unlock some great rewards.

At the same time Techland has also released the visual update for the original Dying Light which they had announced earlier. This update gives the game which is now 10 years old a big improvement in graphics making it look much better than before.
