The Illuminate has been pushed back but now there's a bigger threat. The Terminids are attacking Super Earth in Helldivers 2. Luckily Arrowhead has improved the game's stealth detection system. If you haven’t played in a while now’s a good time to return.

In Helldivers 2 you won’t be spotted right away when you're near spawners in multiplayer. This means you can sneak past enemies and plan a big surprise attack. It’s a new way to play that makes sneaking more useful.

Arrowhead says enemies won’t spot you just for being near a Terminid or flying enemy spawner anymore. Now the spawner only activates if an enemy has already seen you.

Before, just getting close (within 200 meters) to certain enemy spawners like flying ones Stalker lairs, or places with Terminids would make enemies appear and show your location right away. Now the game only triggers enemies if they can see or hear you, making stealth play better and more fair.

Automaton Fabricators will now send out enemies at a steady pace making fights feel smoother and more fun. Also, you can now use health stims while diving which makes you look even cooler.

This patch also makes some armor passives better so it’s a good idea to use them. Integrated Explosions now gives you 2 extra grenades at the start and lets you carry more. Unflinching boosts your armor by 25 and makes map markers scan for enemies every 2 seconds.

The new Helldivers 2 patch is out now and a Major Order to protect Super Earth from the Terminids has also started.
