Katanaut Brutal New Roguelike That Out-Toughs Dead Cells Play Now

Katanaut is a scary action game that mixes Dead Cells and Dead Space. Players can try a demo of it early on Steam.

Horror games set in space stations are really scary and exciting. Games like Dead Space and Alien Isolation feel even more intense because you’re stuck inside with monsters and also trapped in space with no way out. Katanaut does the same thing. Now a new demo is out on Steam so players can try its fast roguelike gameplay (like Dead Cells) and explore its dark creepy space station.

Katanaut is a game we’ve been watching for a while because it mixes horror with roguelike gameplay. You play as a warrior named Naut who can’t die. He explores an old broken space station that’s now full of scary monsters that were once human.

The idea is that advanced technology brings Naut back to life every time they die. This lets them keep exploring the station and learn its history by finding memories from dead bodies. These memories also give new skills which stay with Naut in future runs. These skills help a lot in surviving the game's fast and challenging combat.

Players can unlock new weapons and perks as they move forward in the game. These help them try different setups to explore more of the space station.

Katanaut will come out between July and September this year. But you can already try the demo or add it to your wishlist on its Steam page.
