Minecraft's newest free item lets you celebrate a favorite character from the Minecraft Movie and enjoy one of the movie's most popular songs.
Mojang has added two new free items to Minecraft to remind everyone about the Minecraft Movie. These items are based on some of the movie’s most popular moments. If you loved Dennis the pale wolf or enjoyed the fun lava chicken song then you’ll definitely like these new additions.
Minecraft is still enjoying recent big updates like the Vibrant Visuals upgrade and Chase the Skies drop which made the game even better. But now Mojang is turning attention back to the Minecraft Movie with this small update. It’s not a huge change but it does give players a cool new decorative item and a music disc that brings back memories of Jack Black and the movie’s exciting adventures.
A new decorative item has been added to Minecraft it’s a portrait painting of Dennis the dog. This painting was quietly added to the Bedrock version a few days ago and now it’s officially available in the Java version too. If you ever wanted to make a little shrine or display for Steve’s pet dog now you can. Dennis looks adorable with his red collar and tongue sticking out it’s a fun way to make your base look nicer.
The second new item in this update is a music disc called lava chicken. You can play it in your jukebox at your base. The disc plays a loop of retro-style versions of the lava chicken song each with a slightly different sound. Sadly there are no Jack Black vocals it’s only music. But you and your friends can always sing along through your headsets Mojang also gave a hint to get the lava chicken disc try finding and defeating a chicken jockey.
The new Dennis portrait is now available in both the Java and Bedrock versions of Minecraft starting today. However the lava chicken soundtrack is only out for the Java version right now. Mojang has said that it will be coming to the Bedrock version soon.
