When does Mouse P.I For Hire come out? At Gamefusionusa we enjoy first-person shooters especially ones that are fresh and different. Mouse is just that it has cool black-and-white 1930s cartoon graphics a noir story and you play as a tough mouse detective in a fast-paced shooter.

Mouse is shaping up to be one of the best new indie games. It takes the fun parts of FPS games cool guns, popping headshots and unique enemies and adds a cartoon style like Popeye and Cuphead. If you're excited to play it you're not alone Here's what we know so far about the Mouse: PI For Hire release date and what to expect.

Estimated Mouse PI For Hire release date

The Mouse: PI For Hire is coming out in 2025. It will be available on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Mouse is made by Fumi Games, a small game studio from Poland. They are also working on another game called Galaxi Taxi which looks like a cartoon and plays like an action platformer similar to Cuphead. Fumi Games clearly loves the old 1930s cartoon style.

There’s no exact release date for Mouse yet but the Steam page and official Twitter say it’s coming in 2025. Galaxi Taxi doesn’t have a release date at all So it looks like Mouse is Fumi’s main focus right now.

Mouse PI For Hire Gameplay Sneak, Solve, and Squeak in Style

Mouse is a classic-style first-person shooter like old-school boomer shooters but with black-and-white cartoon graphics. You move through different places, fighting gangsters and mobs. We still don’t know why the main character is doing this or what they’re trying to solve.

In Mouse you’ll have to fight several bosses but so far only one has been shown in the Spike-D trailer. What we’ve seen more of are the many cool weapons like a Tommy gun sniper rifle, explosives, shotgun and even finger guns.

After a developer talk at PAX Australia we learned more about the mouse characters Jack and Tammy. Jack is the main character a tough old-school detective who’s also a war veteran. He has some bad habits and often acts before thinking. Tammy is his helpful sidekick. She’s an orphan mouse who supports Jack and keeps him in check. While she doesn’t show up all the time in the game she helps upgrade Jack’s gear. The developers say Tammy is like Q from James Bond smart and very useful.

Trailers Mouse PI For Hire

A trailer from April 2025 shows off some wild new weapons in this FPS game. One of them is the cold steam applier which was made to chill food but in the game it actually freezes enemies.

The powerful automatic turpentine cleanser works better on enemies than on stains. It burns their skin right off Watch the trailer above to see more wild weapons.

On August 17, 2024 a new trailer revealed the game's official title: Mouse: PI For Hire (it was just called Mouse before). The trailer shows more gameplay than ever with different weapons, enemies and cool scenes. We see the grappling hook again a fun boulder level and Mouse taking a photo of someone he's investigating.

We first saw Mouse in May 2023 through a short teaser trailer. It showed early gameplay focused on action not the game's world. Even though it was short it got people excited. Many fans added it to their Steam wishlist after seeing things like explosive barrels a sniper rifle, a power-up machine and jazzy background music.

In December 2023 a gameplay trailer showed us more of what the game will look like. It gave a better look than the teaser with finished environments and a clear view of Mouse’s final design.

Our main character explores cartoon-style places from the 1930s like a navy dock and a factory. In one scene a piano even falls from above a classic cartoon joke. It's clear that Mouse uses a lot of fun cartoon humor.

The Spike-D Mouse gameplay trailer was shown on April 10, 2024 during the triple-i event. This full trailer tells more about the story and world. It shows Spike-D spinach a power-up that makes the player stronger like Popeye. The trailer also shows new things like a grappling hook, jump pads and a helicopter which we have seen more of in other trailers too.

This is not a trailer but we want to share a short clip from the game Mouse. It shows one of the weapons you can use the shotgun. The clip gives a quick look at what happens after using the shotgun. Since the game has a old-style black-and-white cartoon look it’s not too scary but it still gives a strong impression.

Troy Baker Joins as Jack Pepper in Exciting New Role

At Summer Game Fest 2025 a new trailer was shown but it didn’t say when the game will come out. They announced that Troy Baker will be the voice of the main character Jack Pepper. He uses a rough Italian American voice which fits the character well. This adds to Troy Baker’s long list of great voice roles.
