Rainbow Six Siege X Launch Boosts Ubisoft's FPS Popularity

Rainbow Six Siege X is a big update of Ubisoft’s multiplayer shooting game. Ubisoft also made Assassin's Creed Shadows. The new version is doing really well on Steam.

It's been almost 10 years since Ubisoft released Rainbow Six Siege. Since then the multiplayer shooting game has gotten much better and built a loyal fanbase. It’s now one of the top games in its genre, alongside PUBG, Valorant and Marvel Rivals. To keep the game fresh in its 10th year Ubisoft has launched a big update called Rainbow Six Siege X. Even though it just came out many players are already enjoying it and it’s getting great reviews on Steam.

Rainbow Six Siege X is a new version of the popular shooting game with many updates. The graphics have been improved on five maps and players can now shoot and break things like pipes and fire extinguishers. It also adds a new 6v6 mode called Dual Front. Old players can keep their progress get rewards based on how long they’ve played and still access the older game modes.

Siege X is doing well with players. Since launch reviews have become more positive and the number of players has gone up. Right now 134,366 people are playing. Earlier today it peaked at 142,025 players the highest in over a year since April 2024 when it had 156,080 players.
