Rob Wiethoff the voice of John Marston in Red Dead Redemption and RDR2 says some exciting news about the series is coming soon.
John Marston’s voice actor from Red Dead Redemption Rob Wiethoff says some exciting news related to the series is coming soon. He didn’t give details but he mentioned it during a Twitch stream while playing the 2010 game. With GTA 6 delayed until next year Rockstar might be planning something else to keep fans entertained in the meantime.
Recently Wiethoff began streaming Red Dead Redemption on Twitch. During his latest stream he suddenly stopped playing and shared a big teaser. You can watch and read what he said below. The quote has been slightly edited to make it clearer.
I have some really exciting news Wiethoff says. I can’t tell you yet and it’s so hard to keep it a secret. It won’t be tomorrow but you’ll know before Friday. It’s big news and I’m not the only one who will share it. I can’t wait for you to find out I can’t stop thinking about it not even while playing this game.
Right now it's not clear what Wiethoff is teasing but there are a few guesses. Since the first Red Dead Redemption just came to Steam with better graphics and performance maybe Red Dead Redemption 2 will get the same treatment. We could see a 60fps update for consoles or some upgrades for the PC version. It’s also possible that a Nintendo Switch 2 version is coming since the new console might be strong enough to run the game.
It looks like Wiethoff might be hinting at something related to Red Dead Redemption but we shouldn’t get too excited yet. It might turn out to be nothing or maybe something. Either way let’s hope it gives us something fun to do while we wait for GTA 6 to come out.
