The most exciting new feature in Rimworld's Odyssey DLC is that players can build their own gravship. This ship can grow over time and become a second base that moves across long distances. The main game already has a ship but the Odyssey gravship is much more detailed. Players can even go into space with it but they’ll need to build things like oxygen and heating systems to stay alive.
This DLC also adds new places to explore like ruined cities, grassy fields, lava areas and icy lands. You'll find special landmarks many new animals and quests to do in these new maps. There’s also cool gear to collect like a sawed-off shotgun and a golden revolver.
RimWorld is also getting a free 1.6 update. According to the games Steam page this update will bring big performance boosts easier ways to play better base-building tools improved caravans more map types flying chickens and more.
RimWorld’s 1.6 update is coming out with the new Odyssey DLC in July 2025. You can learn more or add Odyssey to your wishlist on Steam.
