When will Spine come out? If you like John Woo movies with kung fu and guns you might want to play Spine. It happens in a city controlled by a smart AI called Tensor. The AI uses drones to stop people who fight back. You play as Redline who wants to take down the AI and its leaders. Redline will do anything to win.

Fans of Gun Fu will have to wait a long time to play Spine. This is disappointing because the game looks cool with a cyberpunk style. Spine is an action-adventure game with a story. Offical Spine Release Date Window

Spine will come out in late 2025. Nekki said this in a news release with a video from Future Games Show 2024. You can play Spine on PC through Steam, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.

Fans want to see more of Spine but the game developer, Nekki is busy. They are working on other games like a Web3 NFT browser game and mobile games such as Shadow Fight Arena and the Shadow Fight series. Because these take time the new Spine game will likely come out late in 2025 which is several years after the first teaser.

Spine Trailers what's you expected 

The first full Spine trailer from 2021 shows a woman we do not know yet. She climbs over tall buildings in a future city. Drones and police try to catch her. When she is trapped on a roof She sees the soldiers using her digital view.

The soldiers start shooting and we find out the woman running was just a trick. Her real body is hiding on the roof above. At the end we see her fighting two enemies who spin to attack. She uses many blades and guns to defend herself.

In November 2023 Spine officially showed their game. They introduced the main character, Redline and her AI friend. Fans of Cyberpunk Edgerunners might like the style. The reveal showed lots of cool gun fighting smooth camera work and some scenes from battles.

In 2024 we got two trailer releases: one in August showing the bosses and parkour and another in December with spray paint and camerawork.

Redline starts by explaining the story. Tensor has taken her brother So it’s a family problem now. We see Redline fighting big, strong bosses some of them machines. We also get a quick look at the parkour moves with the camera showing Redline from the side.

The trailer for Spine's Spray Paint and Camerawork shows different camera views like side views, moving shots and top-down shots. Fans of action games like John Wick and Hong Kong Massacre liked this. The spray paint feature helps by making enemies blind giving the player a big advantage.

The new Freeflow Combat Design trailer shows smooth fighting scenes. It doesn’t teach us anything new but the game looks very polished as it gets ready to launch.

Exciting Spine Gameplay 

Spine’s gameplay mixes shooting and hand-to-hand fighting. This style is called gun fu. Redline combines quick gun shots with fast punches and kicks making the action smooth and exciting.

From the trailers we see that Redline can finish targets in different ways. For example Redline can throw people off bridges. Redline uses different guns like pistols and shotguns but we don’t know all the weapons yet.

Spine uses spray paint to help Redline. Redline can spray paint to make enemies blind. He can also spray paint on robots like coloring a robot’s visor in some trailers.

The game Spine shows different views. Sometimes the camera follows the character from behind. Sometimes you see the game from the side or from above. When Redline runs on buildings the camera moves in a cool way to make it look more exciting.

Besides what we saw in the trailers the Spine Steam page says your cybernetic parts come from the glowing spinal cord on Redline’s back. It’s still early to know if this is part of the game interface or shows special abilities you can choose.
