CD Projekt Red showed the first gameplay of The Witcher 4 at Epic's State of Unreal 2025 event. It looked really amazing.
We can’t wait for The Witcher 4 to come out. Now that CD Projekt Red finished Cyberpunk 2077 they are working hard on The Witcher 4 and Cyberpunk 2. Both games will be big role-playing games. The new gameplay video called a tech demo shows a first look at Ciri’s adventure but it still needs more work.
In the trailer Ciri is looking around the Kovir area. The video runs on a PS5 at 60 frames per second with special lighting effects. Ciri has a new horse named Kelpie. She rides it into a busy port town. There She meets some strange people hears some gossip and starts many natural interactions with the town’s characters.
CDPR made a new Witcher game. You can see many people in the background doing their daily tasks while Ciri is getting ready for her next mission. It looks better than any game the studio has made before.
CD Projekt Red told VGC that what they showed is just a tech demo. It’s a first look at the new technology for The Witcher 4 but it’s not the actual game itself.
We are working closely with Epic Games to make open-world games better than before. We are using Unreal Engine 5 to create important parts and features for the game.
We are happy to reach this first goal. We want to show you some cool new tech like UAF, Nanite Foliage, Smart Objects, ML Deformer and FastGeo Streaming. These tools help make the future of The Witcher game.
