Saber Interactive says Space Marine 2 will get another full year of updates after launch including a new weapon game mode and character class.
Warhammer 40k Space Marine 2 is almost one year old now but the game is still going strong. Even though it has been out for a while the developers are still adding new things. A big new update just came out as part of the Year 1 plan and it added a tough new mode called Siege. Now the game's developer Saber Interactive has announced some exciting news there will be a second year full of updates and extra content. These updates will include both free content and DLC and they will come with a new Year 2 season pass. This shows that the game is not slowing down anytime soon.
However not everything is perfect. The new PvP (player versus player) mode that fans were waiting for has hit a problem and is now delayed.
When Space Marine 2 first came out it already had many great features. It had a fun and action-packed campaign amazing co-op gameplay beautiful graphics and lots of powerful weapons. Because of this it was easy to say that it belonged on the list of the best co-op games. But Saber Interactive didn’t stop there. They kept adding more content to the game new modes different enemy types new weapons more ways to customize your character and much more. The newly added Siege mode is one of the last things that was promised in the first year's plan and it will keep players busy for a while.
But the good news doesn’t end there. Saber has now officially said that Year 2 content is coming. They said A second year of both free and DLC content included in a new yearly season pass is on the way This extended support to Space Marine 2 has been possible thanks to your unwavering support so once again thank you very much for being part of it.
Players can now look forward to new PvE missions new enemies more weapons and even more content in the future. There is still a lot to come for Space Marine 2 and fans have many reasons to stay excited.
The game studio has confirmed that Update 10 for Space Marine 2 will arrive in September to celebrate the game's first birthday. This update will be one of the biggest ever for the game. It will add a new melee weapon called the Power Axe which comes with its own special attack moves and finishing animations. A new character class will also be added the Techmarine. While the developers haven’t shared exact details yet the Techmarine is expected to bring exciting gameplay thanks to their use of high-tech gear and robotic prosthetic parts.
Update 10 was already going to be a big patch but now it’s even larger because the game’s new PvP mode has been delayed. It was supposed to come in Update 9 but now it’s been moved into this birthday update instead. Even though this delay might disappoint some players the developers have shared a few early details about the PvP mode to keep fans excited. Earlier this mode was a complete mystery.
A brand new PvP mode is coming and it will take place on an entirely new map. In this mode two teams will fight each other but it won’t be the usual Loyalists vs. Chaos. Instead it will be Chaos vs. Chaos which is already pretty exciting. But there’s even more players will also get to control a Helbrute a powerful Chaos mech. Yes you’ll be able to stomp around the battlefield in a huge war machine. And since this mode is focused on Chaos new Chaos-themed armors are also being added to the game as part of Update 10.
Even though this new mode will take some more time to arrive it sounds like it’s going to be worth the wait. It’s great to see the developers still adding big updates like this to Space Marine 2 even with Space Marine 3 already confirmed and in development. Earlier some fans worried that all the attention would move to the next game leaving Space Marine 2 behind. But luckily that’s not the case. The game still has a strong player base and we can expect more exciting content to keep us entertained while we wait for Space Marine 3 in the future.
