Space Marine 2 Reveals Brutal New PvP Mode With Mechs
Just last month the game developer Saber Interactive confirmed some exciting news for fans of Warhammer 40k Space Marine 2. They announced that the game will be getting a second full year of post-launch support which means more updates content and features will keep coming even after the game has been out for a while. This isn’t too surprising since Space Marine 2 has remained very popular with players and its sequel Space Marine 3 is still a long way from being released. Still it’s great news for fans to know that more content is officially on the way. And based on what Saber has already teased this upcoming content sounds very exciting and action-packed.

One of the biggest things coming in this update is a new PvP (Player vs. Player) mode called Helbrute Onslaught. This new mode was originally planned to release earlier but ended up getting delayed. Now it’s finally arriving in September along with Patch 10 and the start of Year 2 content. Players have been waiting a long time for this new feature and the developers are now sharing new information about how it will work. The new blog post from the Space Marine 2 team which came right after the launch of Patch 9 gives fans a closer look at what to expect and Helbrute Onslaught is clearly the biggest highlight of the update.

Helbrute Onslaught is expected to be one of the most exciting additions to the game so far. It will be a Chaos vs. Chaos PvP mode meaning that two teams of players will fight each other using characters from the Chaos faction. The goal of each match is to capture and control a Helbrute mech which is a powerful monstrous machine that can turn the tide of battle. Thanks to the latest update from Saber Interactive we now know exactly how players will be able to take control of the Helbrute during a match. This mech-powered PvP gameplay is designed to give players a completely new and intense experience and it’s the kind of creative action-packed content that helps Space Marine 2 stay at the top of the list when it comes to the best co-op shooters available.

The idea of battling for control of a giant mech in the middle of a chaotic warzone adds a whole new level of strategy and excitement. While players already love Space Marine 2 for its fast-paced action and intense co-op battles adding competitive modes with massive war machines like the Helbrute only makes the game more fun. And honestly when a game gives you mechs to control in battle it's almost guaranteed to get fans even more hyped.

In the new multiplayer mode coming to Space Marine 2 there’s an exciting new feature called the Helbrute Onslaught. Here’s how it works when a match starts both teams will rush to take control of a special objective on the map. The first team that captures this control point will get to use a powerful war machine called the Helbrute. Only one player at a time can control the Helbrute and the game will randomly choose that player from the group who helped secure the objective. This means you need to be active in capturing the point if you want a chance to pilot the Helbrute yourself.

Now if your team fails to capture the first objective don’t worry you still have a chance to turn things around. To take the Helbrute away from the enemy team your team will need to destroy it first and then capture a new control point that appears after it’s defeated. This back-and-forth creates a very intense battle for control. Having the Helbrute on your team gives you a huge advantage but if the enemy team manages to kill it they’ll earn points so it’s not just about control but smart fighting too.

And yes piloting the Helbrute isn’t just about looking cool it’s seriously powerful. The Helbrute is equipped with massive weapons that make it deadly in combat. For close-range fights it has a huge Thunder Hammer that can smash enemies with brutal melee power. For longer distances it has a Plasma Cannon that can blast enemies from afar. So whether you're up close or attacking from a distance controlling the Helbrute gives you incredible strength on the battlefield.

Aside from the Helbrute feature the developers at Saber Interactive also shared some news about a brand-new PvP mode. This new mode will support all of the competitive multiplayer features in Space Marine 2. While they haven’t revealed the official name of this mode yet they did share some early screenshots and a few details. The map where this mode takes place is called Avarax and it's designed to offer a variety of gameplay styles. It includes both tight close-quarters areas for fast intense action and long hallways that are perfect for sniping or tactical movement. This variety means you’ll need to stay on your toes and be ready for different combat situations at all times.

There’s even more exciting news for Space Marine 2 fans. A brand-new weapon has just been revealed. A few weeks ago when developers at Saber Interactive first shared information about the game’s Year 2 content they mentioned that a powerful weapon called the Power Axe would be added to the game. Now we’ve learned that the Power Axe won’t be coming alone. It will be joined by another impressive weapon called the Pyrecannon. This new weapon is fire-based and is expected to bring a lot of destruction to enemies on the battlefield. With both the Power Axe and the Pyrecannon coming, players will have more exciting tools to fight with and create new strategies.

But that’s not all. The developers have also revealed a new type of enemy that players will have to face. This new enemy is called the Majoris Chaos Spawn. It’s going to be a major threat in the game. What’s even more interesting is that there will be three different versions of the Chaos Spawn and each one will have its own unique attacks moveset and special abilities. That means players will have to adapt and learn how to deal with each version differently which adds more variety and challenge to the game.

All of these additions will be part of the upcoming Patch 10 which is scheduled to arrive in September. This update will be completely free for all players and will officially kick off the start of Year 2 content for Space Marine 2. Alongside this free update Saber is also launching a new premium Year 2 Season Pass. This Season Pass will include exclusive cosmetic items special customization options and other in-game rewards for players who choose to purchase it.

If you want to get all the detailed information directly from the developers Saber has posted a full blog update that goes over everything they’ve announced. You can visit their official blog to read the full post and see what else might be coming later in the year. Overall Year 2 of Space Marine 2 is shaping up to be full of exciting content powerful weapons dangerous enemies and fresh gameplay experiences.
