Soulframe is getting a new Preludes update. This update will bring content that was first shown at TennoCon. It will also include the Waste Bear fable which features Bromius.
The studio behind the game is called Digital Extremes. They are still working very hard to keep Warframe alive and strong with constant support and new updates. At the same time they are also building a brand new game. This new project is not a shooter but a fantasy style MMORPG called Soulframe. The game is still not released. It is still in the very early stages. But the developers have been running playtests that they call the Preludes. In these playtests players can try small parts of the game before the official release. Updates for these Preludes keep coming one after another. The most recent update is arriving soon and it will finally bring in content that was first revealed during this years TennoCon event.
In Devstream number nine the developers showed new content for Soulframe. They introduced something called the Waste Bear fable. This was first shown at TennoCon and now it will soon be added for playtesters. In the eleventh Preludes update players will be able to travel into a dangerous area called the Neathuns territory. Inside this place you will find a great challenge. You must try to save a massive creature. This creature is called Bromius. Bromius is an Omen Beast that looks like a huge bear. Sadly Bromius has fallen into corruption and you must help free him from it.
This is the kind of new content that shows how Soulframe is slowly growing step by step. Even though the game is still far from a full launch the developers continue to share exciting updates with their community. Each Preludes update gives players a chance to see more of the world of Soulframe and to understand the kind of adventure that Digital Extremes is trying to create.
In the new Soulframe update players will face many fresh challenges. There will be brand new enemies waiting to be defeated during the adventure. Along with that players will also get new ways to change and improve their characters. Armor transmog will let you change the look of your armor. Upgrade paths will give you more strength and new options. Color customization will allow you to give your armor and weapons your own style. All of these special features will be powered by the magical abilities of Rat Witch Verminia. Her magic opens up the chance to make your character feel much more unique and powerful.
When players finish the long quest known as The Waste Bear fable they will unlock even more content. After this fable is complete you can join a Pact that gives you new abilities. This will help you become stronger and open up more choices for your playstyle. You will also be able to craft new equipment. Some of the new gear includes a honey pot shield and a cleaver shaped like the claws of a bear. Both of these items are inspired by the legendary figure Bromius who is a key character in the story.
A press release has also shared more details about changes in this update. It explained that each of the starting factions will now give players a choice of one out of three exclusive starter armor sets. This means that new players will have better gear at the very beginning of their journey which makes the game more exciting right from the start. In addition to all of this The Waste Bear fable will also include fresh music. Two new songs have been added to the game. These songs are called Song of Waste and Song of Growth. They are designed to add more feeling and atmosphere to the experience of the fable.
At the moment Soulframe still does not have an official release date. However the update that includes all of this new content will be available in the game playtest later this month.
