Their ranged options include mobile archers who move quickly and artillery that moves slowly but hits very hard. When Tahuk units attack they cause enemies to become illuminated. This state gives special advantages. It makes melee troops stronger defensively and it makes ranged attacks even more deadly. Because of this the best strategy is to focus fire on enemies so that illumination can be used effectively.
All of this makes the Tahuk one of the most unique and complex factions in the game. They are not simply a faith faction. They are not simply a science faction. They are a blend of both.
