Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is getting even bigger with its first big DLC expansion Brushes With Death. Developer Warhorse Studios has shared a preview of the new content which will tap into your artistic side. The DLC will launch alongside the games next major update version 1.3 sometime in May.

If you want to experience the new DLC without any spoilers consider this a light warning. Warhorse has shared some details about what Brushes With Death will include. You can access it right away without needing to progress far in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2's story. In this DLC you will meet a mysterious painter named Master Voyta.

In this story you will help him find inspiration to create a masterpiece that will make him one of the greatest artists of his time. While not much else is revealed. it’s clear this quest won’t just be about getting him some paint or posing for a portrait like many memorable RPG quests.

Voyta also introduces a new feature in KCD 2: shield painting. This allows Henry to add custom designs to his shield including choosing the colors pattern border and symbol in the center.

Warhorse says you can unlock symbols by finishing main story quests visiting specific places or talking to certain people. If you have already done these tasks before the DLC the symbols will be unlocked for you so you won't need to repeat them.

There’s no exact release date for Kingdom Come Deliverance 2’s Brushes With Death DLC yet but Warhorse aims to release it in mid-late May. Update 1.3 will also arrive for free at that time. It will add mounted archery horse racing minigames and a new quest to help you learn the basics. The update will also include balance changes making enemies in Kuttenberg tougher.
