Mistfall Hunter: Dark Souls Meets Extraction in New Beta now live

Mistfall Hunter which recently started a new open beta on Steam is an extraction RPG that mixes elements of Dark Souls and Escape From Tarkov.

Elden Ring Nightreign is coming soon, adding co-op to one of the best soulslike games ever. But it is not the only multiplayer game from FromSoftware this year. Mistfall Hunter combines Dark Souls and Escape From Tarkov. The game just started a new beta on Steam and it's getting a lot of attention.

If you have played games like Tarkov Hunt Showdown, or Dark and Darker you will get the idea of Mistfall Hunter. You pick your gear enter a big map with both enemy creatures and other players gather loot and try to escape with it. If you die you lose all your gear but if you defeat other players you can take their stuff.

Even though there are many extraction games now. I can’t think of one that has the tough combat and dark fantasy style like the best Souls-like games. Mistfall Hunter aims to fill that gap with a third-person RPG that features fun melee weapons and elemental magic.

You can choose from five classes: Mercenary Sorcerer  Blackarrow Shadowstrix and Seer. Each one fits a different playstyle.

With developer Bellring Games is getting ready for its launch and has started a new open beta. On its first day the beta reached over 9,500 players on Steam. which is great especially since it only has servers in two regions: Korea and US East. Even though it is an open beta, you might want to think about these server locations before signing up.

The latest Mistfall Hunter beta is now live on Steam. Although no exact end date is provided Bellring Games says it will last for more than two weeks. The beta allows matchmaking for solo players or three-player teams.
