The First Descendant Welcomes 2B from Nier Automata Here’s What to Expect

The First Descendant is teaming up with Nier Automata and 2B will get several new outfits in the game.

Even if you've never played a Nier game you probably know who 2B is. She's a famous android character from Nier: Automata which came out in 2017. Since then she has appeared in many other games. You can find her in Final Fantasy 14. Fall Guys, PUBG, Rainbow Six Siege and a music game called D4DJ Groovy Mix. Now she's also coming to The First Descendant.

I'm not really surprised that 2B is coming to The First Descendant. Nier: Automata fits really well with Nexon's looter shooter game so it seemed like it would happen eventually. Still it's exciting because Nexon shared more details about the event at The First Descendant's panel at Pax East.

The community has been asking for this IP a lot and we think it’s a good fit with The First Descendant says TFD producer Beomjun Lee. Today we only shared a few key images but soon we’ll show more in a trailer about our collaboration

Sadly the Nier: Automata collaboration will mostly include decorations because we're still working on the main parts of our game. We chose to put more effort into Season 3 content instead of adding more to the collaboration. Still besides the 2B and A2 outfits. we have also made a damaged version of 2B without a skirt along with some new motions and decorations.

Lee says the Nier: Automata event will happen in The First Descendant in a few months Even though Season 3 is more important right now. The game's director Minseok Joo also said in a letter that there's not much to do in the game at the moment.

Nexon has a plan for the game's future. Instead of doing small updates the team is mainly working on Season 3 to make it better and more complete.
