Rumors about Half-Life 3 are getting more attention again. but like always it's best to focus on the games that are already out until there's a real release date. If you're looking for newer versions there's Half-Life: Alyx in VR, a remaster of the first game called Black Mesa and a demo of Half-Life 2 with updated graphics called Half-Life 2 RTX. That last one wasn't very impressive when it came out in March but a new update just fixed one of its biggest problems.


Fans of the original game are excited to see the Ravenholm section from Half-Life 2 updated with modern graphics. Since Ravenholm feels like a small horror game good lighting is important for the atmosphere. But when the demo first came out one of the big problems was bad lighting.

Good news HL2 RTX just got a patch to fix some problems. Orbifold Studios the creators said the last update made the lighting more accurate but also too bright. The new patch fixes that and makes Ravenholm darker and more carefully lit. It also adds better fog a nicer Antlion model improved water and other small fixes to make the game run better and look more complete.
