The new Mechwarrior 5 DLC Ghost Bear Flash Storm follows the Clan as they try to regain their lost glory in a 12-mission story campaign.
With Leo Showers death and a leadership change a power struggle between the clans is about to happen. The Ghost Bear khans are planning their next move and this new Mechwarrior 5 Clans DLC puts you in the Silveroot Keshik an elite unit that must show Ghost Bear's strength. The group has fallen behind their rival clans and it's up to you to prove their legacy in the games newest story.
Clans created factions to help newcomers understand how things worked. Now Ghost Bear: Flash Storm focuses on the experienced Silveroot Keshik an elite honor guard with decorated warriors. Their story is told in a campaign similar to the base game. but since it's a DLC it’s a bit shorter.
You will have access to eight new mechs: four advanced customizable OmniMechs (Night Gyr, Ebon Jaguar, Fire Moth and Huntsman) and four classic BattleMechs (Kodiak, Jenner IIC, Hunchback IIC and Rifleman IIC). The mechlab has been updated giving you more options to customize your mechs like swapping engines.
These upgrades will be important as you fight enemies on the Grizzly the Ghost Bear command ship and face the Iron Talon. You'll also be able to lead the Elementals, the clans super-soldiers using a command wheel to guide them in battles against the Smoke Jaguar and Jade Falcon squads.
The Mechwarrior 5 DLC Ghost Bear: Flash Storm is now available for $19.99 / £16.75. You can find it here. Along with the DLC a free update for the base game has been released. This update adds new mechlab features improves progression and balance makes changes to the battle grid includes a friendly fire setting and offers visual and audio upgrades.
