Marvel Rivals Fan Recreates Game in Overwatch 2 After Feeling Overlooked

Marvel Rivals has clearly taken attention away from Overwatch 2. Even though both games say they can coexist many players are shifting to the NetEase hero shooter. If you have been keeping up with both games it's easy to see why.

One Overwatch 2 player used the games custom workshop mode to make it like NetEase's popular game. Fans of Overwatch might know Javofo who often creates fun changes to the game. After getting many requests to turn Overwatch 2 into Marvel Rivals they decided to try it and did a great job.

The first step was to change the perspective to third-person. Instead of doing it themselves they used a code from someone named mitsiee who had already done it. Then they worked on turning Overwatch characters into Marvel Rivals characters.

They began by turning Cassidy into the Winter Soldier or Bucky. First they changed his hit-scan bullets to real projectiles. Then they added Bucky's forward dash a projectile that hits multiple enemies his grapple and his diving ultimate.

The same steps were used to turn Kiriko into Luna Snow Hanzo into Hawkeye Genji into Psylocke Lúcio into Spider-Man and Hazard into Venom. Picking the right characters was important since some abilities were similar. The highlight was a tiny version of Orisa as Jeff with his ultimate that pulls in and spits out enemies. Now Overwatch fans can also dislike the land shark.

They didn't create any more characters because there are already so many. If people wanted more his suggestion was to play Marvel Rivals which many people are already doing.
