You shouldn’t fight a Creeper with a sword if you can avoid it. It’s safer to use a bow and arrow so you can keep your distance and protect your world from damage. This is one of the first things you learn in Minecraft. With Mojang’s new snapshot 25w19a using ranged attacks is about to get even easier.

Mojang's new Minecraft update focuses on projectiles. Now when you throw or shoot something it should be more accurate at first. Before this update (25w19a) all projectiles had a small built-in inaccuracy of 0.3 blocks which made aiming harder especially up close. That issue is now fixed.

Right now in Minecraft all projectiles are very accurate for the first two ticks (about 0.1 seconds). After that they slowly become less accurate with the margin increasing by 0.05 blocks each tick until it reaches 0.3 blocks. This means your shots stay straighter at the start making them more precise when fired close. Mojang says this helps with aiming near the shooter but still allows some wiggle room for hits farther away.

In update 25w19a it's not just projectiles that are changing fog is too. Now when it rains the world will look foggier. Fog has also been adjusted to make the atmosphere look better. Mojang also fixed many bugs So keep an eye out for all the changes.

To test the new Minecraft snapshot go to the installations tab in the Java Edition and turn on the feature. Be sure to check out the best Minecraft skins and mods for PC to improve your game experience.
