ZZZ 2.0 Release Date, Banners, Events & Story Details

The next update for Zenless Zone Zero is here and we have all the new details about the characters and events in version 2.0.

ZZZ 2.0 When is the release date? Now that ZZZ 1.7 is out let's start looking forward to Version 2.0. If you are saving up your Polychrome we have got a full list of what's coming to HoYoverse's urban fantasy in the next few weeks.

ZZZ 2.0 is the newest update for the gacha game. It kicks off a new season after the first chapter of Phaethon's Story. There are lots of events coming in version 2.0 of Zenless Zone Zero along with new characters for the Zenless Zone tier list story updates and more.

Zenless Zone Zero 2.0 Release Date revealed

Zenless Zone Zero 2.0 will be released on Friday June 6, 2025 at 8pm PT / 11pm ET / 4am BST / 5am CET / 1pm AEST.

ZZZ's servers will be down for about five hours for scheduled maintenance before the next update. HoYoverse typically gives players free banner currency for each hour the servers are down. Be sure to check your mailbox for ZZZ Polychrome once version 2.0 is live.

HoYoverse's gacha games follow a six-week cycle and the 2.0 update is expected to end on Friday July 18, 2025.

Zenless Zone Zero 2.0 Livestream All the Key Highlights

The Zenless Zone Zero 2.0 livestream will happen on Friday May 23, 2025. It starts at 4:30am PT, 7:30am ET, 12:30pm BST, 1:30pm CET and 9:30pm AEDT.

This special show before the release will give out Zenless Zone Zero codes that players can use for a short time after the broadcast.

Zenless Zone Zero 2.0 Banners What's New and Exciting

ZZZ banners are split into two parts. Below we’ve listed all the S-Rank characters you can get in version 2.0. If you want to see which A-Rank characters Bangboo and W-Engines have higher drop rates check out our Zenless Zone Zero banners guide.

The Zenless Zone Zero 2.0 update will likely have these characters in the banners:

• Yixuan (Rupture)
• Ju Fufu (Fire, Stun)
• Pan Yinhu (Physical, Defense)

Their special S-Rank W-Engines will also be available in the weapon banner.

The Idols faction and their Zenless Zone Zero Bangboo will show up in Season 2 of Phaethon's Story. But it's still too early for them to be available in banners in version 2.0.

Zenless Zone Zero 2.0 Unveiling the Story

Since the game launched we have mostly been in New Eridu’s Janus Quarter. But the 2.0 update takes us to a new place: the Throne Quarter’s Wafei Peninsula. It includes Feilume Heights a busy tourist town with nice weather, ocean views and tasty food. It’s a great spot to relax after the big events of version 1.7.

The real value of the Peninsula comes from Porcelume mining near the edge of Lemnian Hollow. The TOPS Alliance runs it. but things are getting dangerous. A cult called the Exaltists who worship the Hollow is growing stronger underground. This is where the Sixth Street Proxies come in. Yixuan leader of the Yunkui Summit asks Phaethon to help stop the threat before it's too late.

Zenless Zone Zero events are special tasks or game modes that are only available for a short time. They let players earn rare and unique rewards. Some events are only mentioned by name at first So keep an eye out for them in the game.
