A new FPS game sits between the rough violence of Manhunt and Hotline Miami and the action of Half-Life.
It feels hard to explain what makes one FPS game feel better than another. I know it when I play games like Doom, Half-Life, FEAR or Trepang2 but I can’t quite figure out the exact reason. Even So Pigface with its dark gritty style still has a bit of magic to it. It might sound like a typical game review cliché but the shooting just feels great. It’s a mix of Valve’s classic games. Hotline Miami’s intensity and the rawness of Manhunt. With a new publisher backing it Pigface is definitely worth keeping an eye on.
You play as Exit a skilled killer with a mysterious dark past. After being kidnapped and taken to an abandoned warehouse, a bomb is implanted in your skull. If you don't follow orders it will explode. Armed with shotguns, pistols, rifles and claw hammers you go on violent killing sprees. Pigface is an FPS with a horror twist brutal and grim.
A single developer going by the name titolovesyou made Pigface. I tried the demo last year. The guns feel heavy and hard to use unlike most shooters they don’t feel like part of your character. It takes skill to kill with them. Even one bullet is deadly. If you shoot an enemy in the leg he’ll fall roll and struggle to stand up.
Pigface doesn’t have a release date yet. but it’s been signed by DreadXP the publisher of 2024’s popular RPG Dread Delusion and the scary horror game. The Mortuary Assistant You can add it to your wishlist here.
