Roboquest a co-op roguelike FPS like Returnal, Hades 2 and Doom will stop getting updates after almost five years.
In late summer of 2020 RyseUp Studios released its roguelike FPS Roboquest on Steam Early Access after years of development. The game quickly earned a strong reputation with an overwhelmingly positive rating on Steam placing it alongside other fast-paced shooters like Echo Point Nova and action roguelikes like Returnal and Hades 2. After nearly five years of support RyseUp has announced it will stop working on Roboquest.
Roboquest a roguelike game has always improved with new weapons items and characters. However all game updates must come to an end and Roboquest has now reached that point.
RyseUp says that 2025 marks almost ten years of working on Roboquest and it's also the end of the game’s journey. The studio explains that Roboquest was never meant to be updated forever but they really wanted to give you something special for your dedication and passion for the game.
The passion that lasted for many years began to fade RyseUp says. They got tired and realized it was time to move on. Now with strong feelings the studio has decided it's time to explore new opportunities after all these years.
RyseUp says it won't be updating Roboquest anymore. but its multiplayer and cross-platform features will still work. The studio also mentioned that they have started a new project that has brought back the excitement they had when making Roboquest and they’ll reveal it later.
