Rust is a very hard survival game. Other games like The Long Dark The Forest or Project Zomboid are not as tough as Rust. In Rust you start with nothing and spend the first hours collecting sticks and rocks. But after working hard you can find, learn and make many useful things. Recently the game got a big update called the Jungle update. After that the makers also improved how sneaky fighting works in the game.

Melee weapons help you stay quiet, but if you're fighting several enemies you’ll need a gun ideally with a silencer. In Rust, you used to get a silencer either by finding one in a chest or making one with five pieces of high-quality metal. Crafting it takes about two minutes. Once added the silencer makes your assault rifle weaker but it helps you stay hidden and alive. However a surprise update to the game has made things more complicated.

As of Wednesday, May 14 Facepunch has made some big changes to the silencer system. First, you can no longer craft regular silencers now you have to find them instead. This makes it harder to get silenced guns. But there’s another important change too.

There are two new homemade silencers: one made from a soda can and another from an oil filter. They can quiet gunshots for a short time but they don't last long. The soda can silencer works for about 12 shots and the oil filter one works for about 48 shots.

Facepunch says they are still working on the final details. They also say the new silencers are common and can be found while looting. Still this is a big change to one of the game's most popular items.
