Titan Quest 2 a Greek fantasy action RPG is getting ready to compete with Diablo 4. Path of Exile 2 and Last Epoch. The developers are making changes based on feedback from the beta.
We're in a great time for action RPGs right now. I'm currently playing Last Epoch but Path of Exile 2 is also making good progress. the first Path of Exile is getting ready for a new update and Diablo 4’s Season 8 is still going strong. If you enjoy fighting enemies and collecting loot you should keep an eye on Titan Quest 2. This Greek fantasy ARPG just finished its first big playtest and the developer Grimlore Games has shared new feedback and release updates.
Grimlore shared a new blog post thanking everyone for the amazing response. They said 92% of people who took the Titan Quest 2 beta survey had a good or very good experience. The test let players try the game's first chapter choose two masteries and fight the first big boss. The studio said watching players play stream and talk about the game was really encouraging and showed them they were heading in the right direction.
Grimlore said most people gave positive feedback. About two-thirds of the playtesters had played Titan Quest 1 or knew it very well. Grimlore is happy that these fans feel the new game keeps the original Titan Quest spirit. New players also gave strong feedback showing the game mixes the old style with modern features well. Most testers said they would tell their friends to try the game as it is now.
The atmosphere and visuals were big highlights along with the fun of exploring, finding hidden areas and discovering story events in the environment. Grimlore says the playtest only showed a small more linear part of the game and there will be more open areas with carefully designed quests and events in the full version. They are also happy that players rated the difficulty at 3.63 out of 6 saying it feels challenging but fair something you can enjoy even after a long day.
Playtests are meant to find ways to improve the game and Grimlore has found a few. Some players said the combat felt slow. So the team said We want combat to be more tactical and meaningful but it shouldn’t feel slow. They are working on making it better and they’re also fixing the aiming system because some players had trouble using bows.
Grimlore is considering feedback on balance as it adjusts abilities. They're also looking at performance issues. but note that most people are happy with the current state. They plan to focus more on this as the 1.0 launch approaches. They believe it's better to optimize when everything is in Place without constant changes or additions.
The team has made some small improvements based on the playtest. Now you can choose between mouse movement and WASD controls right from the start. There's also an option for a classic scheme that lets you use the left mouse button for both movement and attack just like the original. Additionally new visual effects show clearly when and where you have unspent mastery points.
In conclusion Grimlore talks about the release window for Titan Quest 2. It was originally set to launch in early access by early 2025. but they noticed a lot of competition from other ARPGs releasing around the same time like Diablo 4, Path of Exile 2, Last Epoch and Torchlight Infinite. Because of this. the studio decided to delay the early access launch to summer and plans to announce a specific date soon.
