Chrono Odyssey MMO Soars on Steam with First Playtest Launch

After showing a big trailer at Summer Game Fest the fantasy MMO Chrono Odyssey has started its closed playtest on Steam and many people are already playing it.

Chrono Odyssey is a huge fantasy MMO game with a big open world you can explore without any loading screens. The main idea of the game isn’t completely new but it does something special by mixing time travel with a science-fantasy story. In this world a strange alien-like force appears in a medieval setting, which makes it feel different from other MMO games. Players on Steam seem to really enjoy it during the closed playtest the game reached a peak of 64,886 players which is a big number for a game made by a new developer.

Just like other top MMO games Chrono Odyssey gives you a lot to do. There are many character classes to choose from and as you explore different events can happen around you. You can go through special portals called Chronogates to fight very strong enemies. The combat is also unique because it uses time travel you can stop enemies or visit older versions of locations in the world. There are also trials which are like mini-challenges with special rules almost like in roguelike games. But if you don’t feel like fighting all the time you can relax by fishing or gathering materials to make new items. Even though the game focuses a lot on action and hard battles it also lets you enjoy the peaceful parts of its world.

The Chrono Odyssey playtest is not open to everyone right now but you can still ask for access from the game’s Steam page. If you’re interested don’t wait too long because the playtest will end soon on Sunday June 22, 2025 at 11:59pm PDT which is Monday June 23 at 2:59am EDT or 7:59am BST.
