Think zombies and monsters in Resident Evil are scary? A big new update in the horror game Deck of Haunts lets you call the Grim Reaper. In this spooky card game you play as a haunted mansion. Now you can send ghost hunters running by unleashing death itself if you’re evil enough to earn it.

If you haven’t played Deck of Haunts you’re missing something fun. It’s a spooky card game where you are the haunted house. Like in Resident Evil you trap people who enter and scare them with all kinds of creepy surprises.

Deck of Haunts just got a big Nightmare Update. It adds a super hard Nightmare Mode and new trap cards. The best part? You can now summon Death wearing a robe and holding a scythe to attack your visitors. That's as cool as it gets.

That might sound like it makes Deck of Haunts too powerful but there are two limits. First you can only unlock him in Nightmare mode (after that you can use him normally). Second you have to collect 13 souls by either killing visitors or making them go insane.

Trust us it will be worth it. These enemies are tough and head straight for your mansion’s weak spot but taking down overconfident ghost hunters is always fun.

The update came out on Friday the 13th. It adds a new Crypt room new character traits and raises the mansion level cap from 10 to 12. It also fixes bugs and makes some small changes which the developer Mantis explains in the patch notes.

The Nightmare update for Deck of Haunts is out now. The game is also 20% off on Steam so you can get it for $15.99 or £13.40.
