SCS Software is hinting at a new type of vehicle for Euro Truck Simulator 2. It looks like buses and coaches are being developed for the game.
It’s easy to forget how popular Euro Truck Simulator 2 really is. At any time tens of thousands of people are playing it and it has a 97% rating from over 650,000 reviews. SCS Software’s detailed truck driving game is still going strong. I personally enjoy relaxing and driving across Europe to deliver cargo and many others feel the same. The game’s future also looks exciting as SCS has finally given a hint about a new feature fans have been waiting for.
In a blog post on Saturday, May 31 SCS Software shared a mysterious hint about what’s next for Euro Truck Simulator 2. While there’s no exact date yet it seems likely that buses or coaches will soon be added to the game. Fans have wanted this for a long time and while some mods made it possible This update looks official.
The studio has released a short teaser video showing a coach coming out from behind a truck before driving away possibly to carry passengers across Europe. SCS says We’ve traveled through many cities crossed borders and carried freight. But like any big journey there are always surprises. Something new is coming to Euro Truck Simulator 2. See you soon.
We don’t know exactly when the feature will be released or how it will work yet because the teaser says it’s still a work in progress. However since the trailer shows a passport and a travel guide it seems like these coach trips will be long-distance.
Most cities in Euro Truck Simulator 2 have bus stations So it's not a big surprise that SCS is hinting at a coach update or expansion. I just wonder if it will include the full experience like a bad smell a kid screaming the whole time and a working toilet that no one wants to use. That would make the coach trips feel truly real.
SCS Software is not only adding coaches to its games. American Truck Simulator a related game is also getting new vehicles. This update is called Project Road Trip and will bring new cars and possibly new jobs to make driving more fun. Hopefully Euro Truck Simulator 2 will get something similar for its coaches.
