FBC Firebreak Struggles on Steam Remedy Plans Major Fixes
FBC Firebreak is a multiplayer game set in the same world as Alan Wake and Control. When it launched on Steam on June 17 it didn’t do very well. Most of the early reviews were negative. But now the developers at Remedy say they are working hard to improve the game. They recently shared a statement saying they will make the beginning of the game better and reduce the amount of grinding needed to progress. This means players won’t have to spend so much time doing the same things to unlock gear or level up.

Along with this message they also released the game’s first big update. Since launch the game’s rating has gone from mostly negative (with around 250 reviews) to mixed (with over 1,100 reviews). That’s an improvement but many people still aren't fully happy. Remedy says that players who reach the higher levels are starting to enjoy the game more but they know it’s not easy to get there. That’s why they want to speed up how quickly players can unlock better gear and get to the fun parts. They also said that while some problems can be fixed now or soon other improvements will take more time and planning.

Patch 1.2 brings many helpful changes to FBC Firebreak. Now you don’t have to play on easy levels before trying harder ones. The in-game store also clearly shows the difference between gear and cosmetics. Job progression has been improved so you can unlock and use each Job’s full abilities faster. The update also includes bug fixes balance changes and improvements to how the game progresses. FBC Firebreak still has a long way to go if it wants to become one of the top co-op games but it looks like Remedy is working hard to make it better.
