Square Enix is making Final Fantasy 11 easier and better for new players in 2025 with some nice changes.
Final Fantasy 14 is the first MMO I ever played. I thought about playing it for a long time and then I started. I spent hundreds of hours playing just the main story. It is one of the best games I have played. My favorite part is the Dawntrail expansion. When there is no new update for FF14 I like to play another MMO. After 23 years Final Fantasy 11 is a good choice. Square Enix has big plans for 2025 especially to make solo play better.
Final Fantasy 14's Dawntrail Alliance Raids are about Final Fantasy 11. So you might know the world of Vana'diel even if you haven’t played Final Fantasy 11. But Final Fantasy 11 can be hard to start playing. That’s why Square Enix is working to make it easier for new players through 2025 and later.
Yoji Fujito the producer and director of FF11 wrote a new open letter. He talks about how much the game has grown in the last 20 years and shares plans for the future. Fujito says that last year’s player survey helped Square Enix decide what to work on next with two main goals.
Many players like to play alone or with the same group. Fujito says that while FF11 has many different activities most players have finished improving their characters. So they need new adventures.
We will focus on these two points as we update the game's character progression. This means improving and making changes to the current content to make it better and easier to use.
Some examples of these changes are the Limbus update and item support for Besieged which were shown in the video. As we make these changes we will keep listening to feedback to improve the game and make it fun for everyone.
Square Enix is also going to change the alter ego system in Final Fantasy 11. Alter egos are characters you can add to your team and make stronger to help you in battles. This makes playing Final Fantasy 11 alone easier. If you’ve played Final Fantasy 14 it has a similar system called Trust.
Square Enix will improve alter egos in a few ways. First they will explain how the mechanic works to new and returning players. They will also add more chances to get alter egos in the game.
Fujito says Upgrading alter egos is one of the updates we are working on. We will add each new feature step by step and tell you about our progress through update news and other ways. I hope you look forward to it.
If you’re thinking about playing Final Fantasy 11 again or trying it for the first time watch for the new changes from Square Enix. Playing alone will get a big update with the alter ego system and it will be easier to progress in the game making it more fun to play.
