Hollow Knight Silksong was barely mentioned at the Summer Game Fest making the wait feel even longer. Recent updates on Steam have made fans very excited and everyone is eager for news. There is still hope it might be shown at the Xbox Games event on Sunday since it will be on Game Pass. But instead of waiting you can try a new action platformer called MIO: Memories in Orbit. It’s a cool Metroidvania game and you can play a free demo right now.

MIO: Memories in Orbit is a game made by a French developer called Douze Dixièmes and published by Focus Entertainment. It’s great for fans of Metroidvania games. The game looks really beautiful with detailed backgrounds. You play as MIO a small robot who wakes up on an empty spaceship called The Vessel. Your job is to stop the ship from shutting down find its lost memories, and learn who you are.

The Vessel is a living creature that has many different places to explore. Like in Metroidvania games you will unlock new skills over time to move around better like using a grappling hook, sticking to walls or gliding. You can also find parts from enemies or the world to make your skills stronger in different ways. For example you can use your grappling hook to escape or attack or give up your shield to do more damage.

There are over 30 types of enemies and 15 fights against big guardians in The Vessel. You need to think carefully about how to fight and beat each one. The game looks amazing and now is a great time to try it before everyone gets excited about Silksong. A new demo is available on Steam So you can play it early for free.
