This New Steam Shooter Is Basically Doom: The Dark Ages With Helicopters

Cleared Hot is an arcade-style helicopter game like Nuclear Strike with fast side-to-side combat like Doom: The Dark Age. You can try it now.

In the 1990s Electronic Arts released the Strike games where players flew helicopters from a top-down view to complete missions and fight enemies. The series stopped in 1997 but now a new game called Cleared Hot, published by Microprose brings back that old style. You can try it now during the Steam Next Fest.

Cleared Hot is not like realistic simulation games. Instead it's a fast and action-packed helicopter game. You fly quickly dodge enemy attacks and shoot powerful weapons. Your helicopter feels super strong almost like being the Doom Slayer in Doom: The Dark Ages.

The helicopter in Cleared Hot has a magnetic rope. It can pick up ammo, health, vehicles, fuel tanks and even enemy bodies. You can also use it to move friendly soldiers to different parts of the battlefield to attack or defend. The mix of smart tactics and fun chaos like throwing things around while firing missiles makes this game exciting and worth watching.
