Nioh 3 Release Date Window What to Expect and When
Nioh 3 will come out in early 2026. It was announced in the first trailer. The game will be available on PC through Steam and on PlayStation 5. This is the first time a Nioh game will be on PC right when it launches.
Nioh 3 was announced with a trailer at the PlayStation State of Play event in June 2025. The game is expected to come out within a year. This is much faster than before because Nioh 2 was announced in 2018 but only released in 2020.
Nioh 3 Official Demo Released
Team Ninja released a surprise demo for Nioh 3 that only PS5 players can try. The demo takes about two hours to finish. You have until June 18, 2025 to play it.
The Nioh 3 demo lets you try the new open world. You can fight yokai and learn to switch between Samurai and Ninja fighting styles. You can also use the new character creator. If you finish the demo you get a free helmet that you can use in the full game.
Nioh 3 Official Trailer: First Look & Exciting
So far we have seen only one trailer for Nioh 3 the announcement trailer. It shows us the main parts of the game’s world: spirit stones, yokai and the tough fighting style the series is known for. The trailer also gives a first look at two fighting styles you can switch between right away Samurai and Ninja. You can see different combos and cool moves you can do with them.
Nioh 3 Official Exciting Gameplay Reveal
Nioh 3 is about Tokugawa Takechiyo who is also known as Ieyasu when he was born. He fights many yokai (monsters) on his way to becoming a Shogun. Unlike the heroes in the earlier games Takechiyo can switch quickly between two fighting styles: Samurai and Ninja.
When Takechiyo is in Samurai mode he moves like he did in the first two games. There are two new things now. One is Arts Proficiency which makes his martial arts stronger. The other is the ability to block or deflect attacks.
Ninja makes Takechiyo move faster especially when dodging and jumping in the air. He has many ninja skills like Mist and Evade that help you avoid danger and choose the best time to attack.
In Nioh 3 you get a big open world to try many new skills. This is the first time in the series. It’s not clear if this change will be better than the old mission style. But the game makers say you will meet strong monsters called yokai find strange villages with hidden dangers and face tough tests in a place called The Crucible.
