Building bases and communities on any of No Man’s Sky’s countless planets is a lot of fun. Just finding your perfect beautiful spot is enjoyable but gathering resources, crafting, generating power and building everything to get your base running is just as satisfying. It’s also exciting to find already inhabited settlements and take them over. With the new update called Beacon No Man’s Sky has improved how settlements work giving you fresh ways to interact with and manage them in the game.
Players can now become a town mayor and own many settlements. You will build new buildings and make them better over time to grow your towns. You can talk to all the people living there and each person has their own skills. You can also invite new people to live in your towns and help solve any problems between them.
If you are a successful mayor and manage your towns well you will get many rare and valuable resources. But this will also bring pirates who want to attack your towns. So as mayor you can hire fighter pilots to protect your towns when pirates try to attack.
Besides the usual settlements you can now find new robot villages in No Man's Sky’s huge galaxy. These villages have robot people and new sci-fi buildings. They will be a fun new part of your game.
